How to price rooms properly

How to budget ferries
The three private-ferry searches used in the example displayed ₹1,500, ₹1,700 and ₹1,750 per adult for the three sectors. That is ₹4,950 per person or ₹9,900 for the couple. This is one operator's premium-class snapshot for the matching September dates, not a claim that every sailing costs the same or that the named class is the best choice.
Write every sector separately. A route that uses Sri Vijaya Puram, Swaraj Dweep and Shaheed Dweep needs each intended leg confirmed for the actual date. Do not multiply one advertised fare across all sectors or assume that the same class and terms apply.

How to budget local transport
The ₹8,000 in the worked table is an allowance to replace with real quotes. For one official reference point, the Directorate of Transport's auto-rickshaw notification sets ₹30 up to 1.2 km, then rises by ₹1.50 for each additional 0.1 km. It also states ₹9 for each additional ten minutes of waiting after the first ten minutes and a 40% night charge from 9 pm to 3 am. That notification does not set a tourist-cab, island-sightseeing or scooter-rental price.
Add airport and jetty transfers before sightseeing. For a vehicle quote, ask whether it covers the exact route, waiting, parking, return and luggage. For a rental, add fuel and any separate pickup or return arrangement to the quoted rental amount.

How to budget water activities
Do not compare two activity prices until the programme and inclusions match. Ask whether the quote includes the required boat journey, equipment, training, photos or video, transfers, taxes, and rescheduling or refund terms.

Food and small daily spending
Start with the meals already included in the room. For the rest, set a per-meal ceiling for each adult and child, multiply it by the uncovered meals, and keep snacks and drinking water as a separate row. This is more honest than copying a universal daily food figure that may not match your diet or restaurant choice.
